The day began eventfully. Aramis and my morning walk was quite relaxing though.

Shortly after Aramis and I had returned, however, Mike came back home too. Wasn’t he supposed to be working today? – Yes, well, but the car broke down. Oh dear.
There’s a cruel irony to this, which you will only grasp if you’ve read about our roadtrip to England last year ( click here to read up on the whole trip from the start or here about the incident with the car). I must have jinxed it yesterday, by joking about and saying that I’d be more than happy to help out should the car break down again…
So I promised to drive my friend to work and pick him up again. He had called in to take the day off, and so my help was not needed today.
Aramis and I went for a nice morning walk along the river. He was very busy exploring his former home turf. A little later I went into town to meet the professor who had supervised my PhD. I had written him a message early in the morning, which said that I was in town. He replied very quickly and suggested lunch together. I was really looking forward to seeing him after two years and we had a really pleasant chat.
Afterwards I bought a lot of things explored the city and walked around a bit, before heading home again to pick up Aramis. Forrest’s owner Bobby had invited us for dinner and a walk with our pooches.
I think the pictures say it all.
